यह मेरा नहीं, देश का आंदोलन है

A Journey of Anna Hazare from Tihar Jail to Ramlila Maidan

Anna completes his journey from Tihar Jail to Raimlila Maidan on 19th August, 2011. A big rally from India Gate to Jantar Mantar was organized on 17th August, 2011 to show the power of people. Thousands of people gathered at India Gate.

Movement of Anna Hazare continued from Ramlila Ground after Tihar Jail. I already have reported about the arrest of Anna Hazare in my previous post named second Indian movement for independence. Delhi cops arrested Anna Hazare from his residence on August 16, 2011. It was the date of Anna’s movement for Jan Lokpall Bill 2011. He had already announced about it. Team of Anna arrested from Raj Ghat. It is the most dramatic act of Indian government. The situation made Indian more anger against the government. People from all over India came ahead to support Anna’s movement.

Anna sent to Tihar Jail in the evening of August 16, 2011. But at 9:30 PM he released by the government. This was done seeing the support of Anna’s movement. Thousands of people gathered at Tihar Jail to support him. But Anna decided to not leave the Jail campus. He demanded for a place where he may continue his movement. It was the worst situation for the government.

Finally, the government got ready to allow him for 7 days in Ramlila Maidan. Now, the talk about JP Park was over. But the Anna Hazare was not ready for 7 days. He asked for at least 1 month. But the government was not able to accept this. Movement of Anna Hazare was still continued from Tihar Jail. Thousands of supporters were not ready to leave him.

Finally, the government got ready to allow him for 15 days. Now, Ramlila Maidan was to be prepared. Anna left Tihar Jail on 19th August, 2011 with thousands of his supporters. He came out from the jail and addressed people. A rally organized with Anna from Tihar Jail to Maya Puri. He takes a truck and walks with thousands of people. It was just like a road Show. The rally ends at Maya Puri. Anna takes a cab and walks to Rajghat.

Movement of Anna Hazare was supported from every nooks and corner of India. Movement of Anna took a new shape in his village also - Ralegan Siddhi. Bucket rally and Masal rally became the symbol of failure of Indian government.

Movement of Anna Hazare has completed its 5 days successfully. Thousands of people are seen in Ramlila Maidan. Manoj Tiwari also comes forward to support his movement on August 20, 2011. The whole ground of Ramlila is echoed with “Main Bhi Anna, Tu Bhi Anna”, Anna Tum Sangharsh Karo Hum Tumhare Saath Hai.”

The Parliamentary Standing Committee issued an advertisement of Lokpall Bill features and asked people to send their opinions and suggestions within 15 days. The advertisement was issued in a news paper on August 20, 2011. On the other hand, Anna Hazare has set a deadline for Parliament to pass the bill till August 30, 2011.

Anna Hazare has already made cleared to his supporters that he can’t trust this government and he will continue the movement till his last breath. He will not leave the Ramlila Ground if the government not accepts his bill. Despite it, the government is not taking any initiative to pass the Jan Lokpall Bill. The government is not listening voice of the people and demand of the time.

Now, Bollywood also takes a silent initiative to support the movement of Anna Hazare. The support is seen through a Fashion Show where people wear the caps of “I am Anna Hazare”. Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan also supported the movement silently and indirectly.

The Prime Minister said today in his statement that the government is ready to discussion and dialogue. He said that time line of Anna for Jan Lokpall Bill is not logical. Legislative process takes time.

India is a democratic country. People of India have demand a law against corruption. But the government is not ready to pass the bill. If the government is not with corrupts then why it is not listening the voice of common people. Why the government is not ready make a strong law against corruption?

Movement of Anna Hazare is running with the demand of Jan Lokpall Bill, a bill against corruption. India against corruption voice is getting stronger day-by-day. But the government is not ready to make a corrupt-less society.
